Aparna Kumar has been involved in Indian dance in one way or another her entire life. As a child, she was trained in the classical Indian style of Bharatanatyam and was part of several dance troupes in high school and college. Upon moving to DC in 2012, she discovered Doonya and fell in love with it because it combines her passion for Indian dancing with high-cardio fitness. Doonya, the Happy Workout, has brought a lot of happiness to Aparna’s life, and her classes are always energetic.
